Information You Submit
A name, telephone number, or address entered in a search form is submitted to the third-party provider that supplies the results. Our servers do not retain a copy of those searches. If you contact us, the message contains the information we receive and is used to respond.
Automatic Technical Information
Hosting services create routine logs such as IP address, browser type, visited pages, and timestamps. We review aggregate activity to maintain the service and understand which Owatonna reference routes are used. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and advertising measurement where applicable.
How Information Is Used
The limited technical information helps operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the reference, and helps count traffic. We do not sell visitor lists or create individual visitor profiles.
External Services
Links lead to county and state portals, library collections, archives, and third-party search tools. The policy of the service receiving your information controls that submission, including information entered through sponsored search results.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Providers that host or support the reference may process the routine server logs described above. Analytics and advertising partners can receive automatic information for their services. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it and otherwise only as described here.
Safeguards and Retention
The reference uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the purposes described above. Because the service has no accounts, it does not maintain a visitor password or account profile.
Visitors Under 18
The reference is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. Contact us if you believe a minor has sent information, and it will be removed.
Your Information Requests
Applicable law may give you rights to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data a service keeps. Since this reference retains very little, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and any relevant server log. Use the Contact page to submit it. Public records held by Minnesota, Steele County, or Owatonna custodians are outside our control. Minnesota Government Data Practices Act, Minn. Stat. chapter 13, governs public data held by government entities, so a correction or access request for those records belongs with the custodian.
Policy Changes
Any revision will appear on this page. Continued use after publication of an update means you accept the revised policy.
